LINER BEARING ENGLISH KING . AND QUEEN HELD UP BY FOG ABOARD EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA AT SEA, May 12.: — Fog, which held the liner Empress of Australia almost motionless for almost twenty-four hours, suddenly lifted today and the ship, bearing King George VI. and Queen Elizabeth to Quebec • for their tour of Canada and the United States, was able to proceed full speed ahead. Early the fog lifted for fifteen minutes, permitting the Empress a brief spurt of ten knots, a little more than one-third its ordinary speed, but the mist quickly closed in again, shrouding the liner until 6:45 a. m. The adverse weather conditions for the past two or three days have not affected the routine aboard ship, and the King and Queen remain in excellent spirits. ,
