SLRE CURE came over fast after the start and. under pressure, bore in rounding the turn and responded to pressure, drawing away in the final eighth. JOCKS ANN raced green throughout and swerved repeatedly in the running. TENUOUS broke in a tangle, moved up on the outside rounding the turn and was carried wide, was bothered at the eighth post and then finished gamely. STAR OF DONDRA was sent into command with a rush, bore out sharply rounding the turn and carried the leaders with her and then held M well to finish in -a dead heat with TENUOUS for the show portion. MILLCHIC had a rough trip. CROSS VINE ran an even race. SOLAR TOPI swerved at the start. SNUGGLE was outrun. Overweight — Snuggle, lg pounds. SECOND RACE ABOUT 1 1-2 MILES. BROWN PRINCE III. was eased back going to the first turn, saved much ground, was sent up fast on the outside after taking the fourth fence, assumed command and had speed in reserve at the end. NAVAR1N was taken back after the start under steady restraint, saved ground all the way and finished well under pressure, but could not menace the winner. SANTI QUARANTI, a trailer the first mile, finished stoutly under pressure. CANTO and NOCTION set a fast pace and raced themselves into defeat. KINGSEM was a trailer all the way. REPERCUSSION raced close to the pace from the start, disposed of WOODSIA in the stretch run and was kept under urging through the final eighth. GANGPLANK broke in a tangle, but improved his position steadily and finished fastest of all at the end. WOODSIA broke in motion and drew away into a brief lead while saving ground and had no excuses. STATE WITNESS swerved in the stretch run under pressure. LA CHARITE lacked speed and showed a dull effort all the way. GALA DAME was outrun and was not persevered with at the end. PIXEY DELL came through on the inside entering the stretch, was placed under severe pressure in the final quarter mile and held MARY SCHULZ safe in the final drive. The latter raced in close pursuit of the early pace, moved into command when settled in the stretch and held on well to the end. ONE JEST dropped back after the start, was placed under pressure on the stretch turn and made up ground steadily. TORCHLIGHT showed early speed, but tired badly and had no excuses. SALAMIS broke in motion and showed early speed, bore out cnterine the stretch and then held on gamely to the finish. WATCH OVER moved up fast on the outside rounding the stretch turn and then hung at the finish. SPILLWAY, on the inside in the early running, was sent up on the outside for the final eighth.
