Teddy Haslam, Bomber and four others arrived from Toronto to carry the colors of C. N. Mooney and G. H. Ellis. They are in charge of H. Chappell. Cruising, Izaak Walton and Parity, the property of A. J. Halliwell, unloaded after a trip from Long Branch and joined the division of the stable Elmer Dubble has here. Sweeping Dame, winner of the eighth race here Thursday, was claimed by Mrs. E. M. McCuan for ,000. Deft, entered in the third race Thursday, was excused by the track veterinarian when trainer R. S. Byrum reported the horse suffered a severe attack of colic. W. E. Ball disposed of Frost Bite at private terms to Mocklin and Groesch. The horse will be trained by J. Mockjin. Jockey Charles McTague, under engagement to Conn Smythe, was a visitor. McTague returned to Toronto Friday night after visiting relatives here. The rider has the mount on Cosgrave Stables Mona Belle in th running of the Orpen Memorial, ,000 added stake, to be run at Dufferin Park Saturday. Frank Seremba reported the sale of Sunnie-Time to Charles Zoeller. The horse sported the silks of her new owner Thursday. Lynn Pierson, 19-year-old Californian un- der contract to Mrs. Bavelle Fronk, had the first mount of his career on a recognized track when he rode his contract employers Arthur Coventry in the first race Friday. Pierson, who has had much experience on unorganized tracks, has been in the employ of Mrs. Fronk for some time. When Delovely broke down in her last race Mrs. E. Oros presented the filly to Mrs. 1 Ray A. Forsha, whose husband hopes to | patch up the infirmities of the former Oros | racer. E. H. Baumgardner is shipping Mrs. A. A. I Bowers All Lady, Cossack Girl and Burning Wood to Arlington Park Sunday. All Lady was fired recently, while Burning Wood was unsexed last week. According to William Zakoor, Ernest Dou- mani is sending the- two-year-old Dream Boat to him from Toronto to race at the local track. R. L. Stivers shipped Absconder to La- tonia to await the opening of that meeting. Trainer Jimmy Smith reported his good two-year-old Radiogram as coughing, and scratched the juvenile Friday. Shortstop and Mistletoe, also in the Dixiana barn, are coughing, and none of the locally-owned juverules will be in fit condition to accept their engagements in the Sallan Cup Handi- cap Saturday. Stanley Smutzki, local sportsman, joined the owners ranks when he purchased In-re credible from R. O. Higdon. Smutzki turned the horse over to Pat McCabe to train, G. E. Lewis returned from Louisville after visiting his family for several days. Lewis has four horses in training here.
