BALD EAGLE forced the pace most of the way, but faltered under strong riding. PINDARS PET, on the inside throughout, closed with good courage BID SMITH, apparently in need of the race, gave a good performance. VILLA BANQUET closed strongly. PRETTY NOTE had early speed. TRACE BOY, away quickly, lacked speed, but closed with a rush. PHYLLIS C. had no excuses. GLENCOT raced well under a hustling ride. KING PRESTON was never dan-orous. CAREFUL KITTY quit. HAREM QUEEN, outpaced for three-quarters, bettered her pisition gradually and came fast in the final stages, but was never dangerous. POTION, well up most of the wav, failed to respond when subjected to strong pressure. SKY HAVEN tired in the stretch. MARION BARTON had no excuse. NIGRESCENT and BUNGLER could not keep up. AAHISTLING BOY attained a clear lead early, then continued gamely to the final eighth, but tired as if in need of the race. HIS GIRL had no excuse. AVARINGA. on the inside throughout, failed to respond to urging. CLAUDE OMAR gave a fine effort under strong riding. MY COLIN and DOAVN UNDER were outpaced. GOLDEN NUGGETT could not keep up.
