LUCKY DUCKY forced the pace under light restraint to the Final eighth, disposed of WACKY JACK rapidly thereafter and steadily increased her ?dvant:ii:e. BUTTER began sluggishly, was badly outrun for three-eighths, got through on the inside and. finishing stronglv, was up in time to dead heat WACKY JACK for second place. The latter set the pace from the start and increased his lead after a quarter, but tired under pressure. MAI.INDA B. was well up for the entire trip. FYLFOT could not keep up. PARKWOOD CHIEF, unable to keep up in the early stages and forced to race around horses while working his way up. closed rapidly under strenuous urging and wore down MARFEU in the closing strides. The latter forced a stiff pace until straightened out in the stretch, assumed a slight lead in the final eighth, but could not withstand the winner. PURPLE WRACK, reserved off the pace and saving considerable ground, responded to strong urging in the last stages and showed a good effort. DUNYEGAN was hustled into the lead around the first turn, set the pare for three quarters, continued gamely when challenged, but was not good enough. BLlE STAR tired. MO had no excuses. JACK W.. restrained off the early pace, but never far back, moved up strongly in the last three-sixteenths, disposed of BETNABAR in the last eighth and drew clear. The latter, a sharp factor from the beginning and hard urged throughout, held on with good courage in the drive. QUICK broke rapidly, dropped back soon thereafter, worked his way up on the outside gradually and closed strongly. SAY WHEN, unable to keep up in the early stages and taken wide throughout, showed a good effort. BROWN RAY made up some eround in the final eighth. MISS WISE tired. PHILIGAL was through earlv. HASTY COLONEL, taken under snug restraint early and saving ground throughout, was fortunate to get through on the inside in the stretch and wore down REGARDLESS in the drive. The latter forced the pace from the start, got to the front after straightening out in the stretch, but could not retain his advantage. EASTORIAN, outrun for five-eighths, improved her position rapidly thereafter and finished with a rush. NIMBLE PINS lacked early speed, making up some ground in the last three-eighths. TROOPER- ETTE was hard urged while setting the pace for three quarters and gave way thereafter. CECIL B. had brief early speed. * Overweight — Paul T., 2 pounds: Front Fender, 1.
