AIR STREAM was sent through on the inside rounding the turn under urging, disposed of BAGGRAVE when ready and drew away at the end. QUAROMA improved his position steadily, responded when urged in the stretch and finished with determination. BAGGRAVE was sent up fast on the outside after a slow beginning, bore over steadily and then faltered at the finish. SPANISH DUKE was hard urged through the stretch and could not menace the leaders. BROWN DEVIL was in close quarters rounding the turn. HAPPY HAUNT was shuffled back in the early running. ABOYNE, on the outside rounding the turn, was not persevered with in the final eighth. AT POST— 6 minutes. Start good and slow. Won easily ; second and third the same. CLARO was under steady restraint in the early running on the outside of the leaders, was carried wide rounding the stretch turn, but finished fast and drew away at the end. STING RAY was well up all the way, was bumped slightly by the winner nearing the final eighth and had no mishaps thereafter. BAD DAY slipped through on the inside entering the stretch, but failed to menace the leaders at the end. CARRAIGEEN showed early speed, raced GRAND STAR into defeat and then tired. TESOR MIA was on the inside in close quarters rounding the far turn. GALCREST lacked early speed. EN TOUR faltered steadily. GRAND STAR had a flash of early speed. GUITAR tired badly. TITANIUM, fractious at the post, broke from outside the stalls. Scratched— 76096 Jacaroo, 105; 75714 Marco Polo, 108; 76096 Nollip, 109. Overweight — Galcrest, 1 pound. THIRD RACE 6 1-2 FURLONGS. Start good and slow. Won driving: second and third easily. JIMS NIECE showed speed from the start while saving ground in the early running, bore out slightly rounding the stretch turn and then responded with good courage to outlast SKY ARGO in the final strides. The latter was in close quarters after the start, was sent through on the inside rounding the far turn, saved ground thereafter and held on well. DEVILS MATE began slowly, was sent up fast on the outside rounding the far turn, but hung steadily in the final sixteenth. LA CHARITE closed ground at the end. FIRST ENTRY, fractious at the post, broke slowly and was outrun, but finished fast on the outside. CUCKOO had no mishaps in the running. PAPA JACK was never a serious factor. BUENA ORO dropped back after the break, then came with a belated rush at the end. FLYING MINT had no excuses in the running. ST. ANNA had early speed, then quit.
