Won easily ; second and third driving. - SCARLET O., beginning very slowly, raced in the better part of the track while going wide, reached contention at the turn, continued wide to displace the leaders and drew out swiftly. SAND CLOUD bettered his position stoutly when in stride, but could not stay with the winner. CHANCE WATCH, taken up at the start, fell far back, then made up a lot of ground in the late stages. LINAS SON raced well placed, made a weak bid nearing the stretch, then quit. BYRDS FLIGHT raced evenly. ELWAWA could not untrack himself in the deep footing on the inside. BLABLAH was used up setting the pace and quit. SHINDIG could not keep up. KELLEY POT was away poorly. REMOLEE quit badly. WALLI fell midway of the back stretch. YOUR CHANCE was rushed up between horses to gain a forward position nearing the turn, moved to the front under pressure, was shaken up entering the stretch and came out swiftly. TITILATOR worked his way forwardly while saving ground early, came to the outside in the final drive, but could not threaten the winner. CIRCUS was in the thick of contention from the start, but was not good enough. LONELY ROAD broke slowlv. then bettered his position on the inside of the leaders. NAVIGATION raced well. RIOTER opened up a long lead in the first mile, recovered after making a bad landing at the ninth fence, went along smoothly to take his remaining fences, then rallied to a hard drive on the flat after the final jump to withstand GOOD CHANCE. The latter was steadied nicely for the first mile and one-half while racing forwardly, responded gamely in the late stages and was wearing the winner down nearing the close. TORTlRER, under steadying restraint for a mile and one-half, raced to the outside when shaken up, but was not eood enough. ANNIBAL was saved for most of the trip, but failed to menace when shaken up. BUCK LANGHORNE was prominent for two miles, then tired. OUR SAILOR was strongly reserved for a mile and a half, then flattened out when let down. BAGPIPE and BLACKCOCK fell at the eleventh fence and NATIONAL ANTHEM fell at the fourth. BRANT ran out of the course going to the same obstacle. FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. THE LAKE was close up from the start, but could not stay after gaining a short lead in the last eighth. NANSEMOND was prominent from the start and held on gamely. ALEXANDRINE raced well placed and had no excuses. KAPTIME tired when caught. MODERN AGE was outrun. DOG FLOWER was never a threat. LOTTERY quit. BALK was held safe. ROBESPIERRE broke tardily, then failed to menace. CARENCE raced well. PUZZLE DANCE was never a threat. GRAUSTARK, awav fast, raced stoutlv for a half mile, then quit. AVESTA quit badly. CONNIE PLAUT. rated back of the leaders, moved up stoutly on the final turn, came to the outside and was wearing the winner down steadily. POESY would not extend herself early to drop far back, then settled in stride and finished full of run. LANCEMAN was steadied close to the leaders, but tired under his weight. SHALAKO, steadied close to the pace, swung to the outside when placed to a drive and finished stoutlv. JUSTA FLIGHT, a slow beginner, passed tiring horses. SUN SWEEP was weakly ridden. BAD DREAMS was unable to stay. BRIAR BLUE was always outrun.
