1 LEXINGTON TURF NOTES T f e From Greentree Farm yesterday afternoon manager A. W. Shutts shipped twenty-four yearlings to Mrs. Payne Whitneys Greentree Farm training grounds at Red Bank. N. J. W« E. Caskey today bought two magnificent yearling colts from Brownell Combs and they were transferred to Bramble Farm and put into the string which is to be sold at Saratoga Springs, N. Y., on Tuesday, August 16. The bay colt is by Chicle from the great race mare Manta, by Cudgel, and the chestnut is by The Porter — La Morlaye, by Peter Pan. Caskey also bought from B. M. Browning the yearling bay colt by Hadagal from Paradox, dam of Infidox and five other winners. He said today that his purchases are completed with one exception nnd that he expects that transaction to be closed by tomorrow and he is planning to leave for Aqueduct Friday afternoon where he has six horses in training.
