JACK GREENOCK improved his position after a quarter and finished strongly. DOMIWORTH, used up in the pace, quit under pressure. MOTHS WING showed a good effort. AFTERMATH was outrun. BROWN CORNER, slow to begin and hustled into contention, responded to strong urging when wearing down BYRDFORD and got up in the final stride. The latter, well up from the start, moved into the lead when ready, was unable to draw clear and gave way to the winner in the final stride. COUNT McLUKE finished fast on the outside. IMPERIAL RONIE, outrun early, improved her position rapidly after being sent to the inside and tired after offering a bold bid when in close quarters approaching the final eighth. NAN STEIN came from well back. FAST WORK raced evenly. GIBBYS TORNADO quit. WILLOW PLUME showed a dull effort. NOPALOSA DONNA was done after a half mile. The latter, steadied along early, was put to strong urging after three-quarters, was in close quarters in the drive and, coming fast when clear, closed with a rush. MISS ADELE, used up in the pace, drew clear after reaching the lead and tired in the drive. PEDANT came from well back. PERFECT ONE established a good lead during the opening half mile, held sway for seven-eighths, then gave way to the winner and held on under strong urging. MORRIS R. showed little.
