Darnaby returned from Lexington, Ky., where he was called home because of the illness of his wife. William Hamilton, Latonia starter, departs Saturday night for Chicago, where he will be on hand to serve as one of the stewards at Washington Park Monday afternoon. The stable of J. W. Parrish, Midway, Ky., banker, will be divided into two sections, one division going to Dade Park under the supervision of J. G. Goode, with the other destined for Washington Park in charge of J. M. Goode. Examination revealed that Jack Hayes had a bone in his left leg splintered in two places when he was knocked down by one of his horses several days ago and will not be able to get around without crutches for three more weeks. F. J. Smith reported the purchase of Black Bonny from F. Noe and has decided to rest the racer for an indefinite period. Terms of the transaction were private. Ed Babcock, Jr., who is training several horses for G. C. Scott, Harlan, Ky., theater owner, has made preparation for shipment to Dade Pork. Apprentice C. Clark was an arrival from Thistle Down Park and plans to proceed from here to Dade Park. After a visit of two days in this section judge S. C. Nckols entrained for his home in Versailles, Ky. Tommy Oliphant, Dade Park paddock judge, plans to remain in Louisville, Ky., at his home for a day before continuing to the Henderson track Tuesday morning.
