Bedwell; bred by Mr. W. S. Thrclkcld. Winner entered to be claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST 6:01. AT POST 1 minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. TURKISH BRAND, as usual slow to begin, trailed his field until leaving the back stretch, came through on the inside when reaching the stretch and, closing with a rush, was along in the last few strides to wear down SCARLET O. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, took command when called upon, opened up a good lead and, while holding on willingly, was not quite good enough. POST MERIDIAN, outrun early, moved up briefly midway of the turn, but was unable to close any ground through the stretch run. STAR LOOM, well placed all the way, was unable to improve her position under pressure and tired slightly during the closing stages. PLAYDEMA raced evenly throughout. ROYAL FLIGHT tired badly after cutting out the early pace. BEVEAU lacked speed and was outrun throughout. Scratched 77429 Just Fun, 108. Apprentice allowance waived Royal Flight. Mrs. L. Palladino claimed Post Meridian for ,000.
