ROBERTS HAS GOOD LEAD CLEVELAND, Ohio, July 28 Pacing the riders from the beginning of the meeting, Porter Roberts drew away to a comfortable lead over his rivals for leading jockey honors at the local track when he scored with four winners Thursday. Roberts, who has beer, showing the same good form here as he did at the recent meeting at the Detroit Fair Grounds, became the first rider to score with three or more winners in one day during the Thistle Down season. Pari Call, Bal-tee, Brown Corner and Prince Pharoah made up the quartet of winners Roberts was successful with during his splurge on the Thursday program. Prince Pharoah was one of the longest-priced winners during the local meeting.
