1 ARLINGTON PARK NOTES Jockey Leyland Lake was suspended one day by the Arlington stewards for foul riding, astride Joyride, in the fourth race Thursday, and a recommendation will be made to the Illinois Racing Commission that he be set down an additional four days. J. A. Vickers flew here from his home in Wichita to watch his Broken Pieces and Arcadian under colors at Arlington today. He .was to return to Kansas tonight. Will Wallace has taken over the Millsdale Stable horses here in the absence of Burley Parke, who left for Saratoga with a division of the establishment. W. J. McMurray, eastern publisher, came in from New York and was a visitor at Arlington Thursday. The Friedberg and Axton stable, which embraces such useful performers as Manie OHara, Bala Ormont and others, will get away Wednesday for Narragansett Park. The string, looked after by Jack Hanover, will include twelve head. A seven-car special, heading for Saratoga, will get away from Arlington Park Sunday. Included in the shipment will be the horses of the Milky Way Farm, Millsdale Stable, Mrs. J. D. Hertz, Shandon Farm and S. W. Ward. The Futurity contestants of E. R. Bradley, "Mr. French," Arnold Hanger and Mrs. Parker Corning will go in the same Bhipment. Howard Wells iss transferring twenty-four horses to Narragansett Park next Wednesday. Others heading for the Pawtucket track at the same time, are Cliff Porter, with the horses of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Cleary, and Ralph Mcllvain, with the stable of F. H. Williamson. Frederic Crafton, who is attached to the racing secretarys staff at Arlington Park, will leave Tuesday for Fairmount Park to look after stall applications for the coming meeting there. Francis McTague, 18-year-old Canadian rider, is here from Detroit. He will be seen in action also at Washington Park. W. L. Hoag has left here for Rockingham Park, where he will assist Ed Haughton in the training of the L. B. Mayer horses.
