THISTLE DOWN TURF NOTES f Eddie Seremba, former owner and trainer, was an arrival from Puerto Rico, where he is in business. After spending a few days here Seremba plans a trip to Saratoga before returning to Puerto Rico. Acting for Mrs. B. Fry, R. F. Tice purchased the two-year-old filly Matchless from the Le Mar Stock Farm stable. The thirteen head J. P. Keezek has here for the Le Mar Stock Farm were shipped to Washington Park. Al Miller sent Kremlia to the I. J. Collins farm at Lancaster, Ohio, where the juvenile filly will be turned out for the summer months. J. Edrington, acting for Woodcock and King, has reserved a call on the services of the promising apprentice Oren Stroud. A. Bonnie, who conditions the racers of. the Canadian turfman, A. J. Halliwell, has-taken a call on the services of the veteran, reinsman Clarence Watters. The racers H. and G. Hoffman campaign in the care of Chester Parish, were arrivals from Maryland. The shipment comprised Sugar Boat, Celtic Legend, Rare Gem and Nob. Carter Everitt, who trains a division of the I. J. Collins string quartered here, was confined to his home Friday due to a stomach disorder. Ernest Wheatley, Hot Springs, Ark., turfman, who with his brother campaigns a stable of racers, reported that Mexico City is doing nicely and will be back in training within two weeks. The horse injured himself when he plunged through the inside rail during the early morning workout period at the Cranwood track.
