FRENCH BREAD took command with a rush, swerved out while under strong restraint on the turn, went to the inside soon after reaching the stretch, almost lost command when she asain swerved entering the final eighth, but, strongly ridden while straight thereafter, outstayed STAR BESS. STAR BESS had speed from the start, was under stout reserve for a half mile, rallied mildly in the stretch and tired after rearing the lead, but was as strong as the winner in the late stages. SANCTITY, away slowly and far back for a half mile, secured room between horses when moving up with a great rush in the stretch and continued strongly to the finish. HONORED MISS raced well. SKY GRENADE had no mishaps. IRENES BOB had early speed. ONA BOY received a timid ride. DARK SEEKER raced wide and was always far back. HURRIGAL, far back in the early stages and swung to. the outside on the stretch turn, responded with much energy when straightened Jin in the last throe-sixteenths, got to the front in the last seventy yards and drew out thereafter. HADITH, a contender from the start and kept in hand until the final quarter, look command with a rush and held on fairly well, but could not withstand the winner. COOPERSTOWN, away fast but unable to keen up. was in close auarters as HURRIGAL came around him entering the stretch, Tallied when clear and continued stronelv to the end. JUDGES SISTER raced evenly. PERNELLE quit. THIRTY FOUR never threatened. ARCHED had speed, but tired after a half mile and was eased in the last sixteenth. LARRY S., suited by the going and a factor from the start, raced wide throughout, was kept in hand to the final eighth and, holding cn well under only mild pressure, gradually wore down the leaders. LITTLE DRIFT, on the inside throughout, had speed from the start, came again to take command in the stretch, but tired in the late stages, yet outstayed MALEMAN. MALEMAN was in hand from the start, got to the front on the stretch turn and, strongly urged in the last three-sixteenths, tired near the end. FANFUN was on the inside to the stretch, came out for the drive and closed fast. TEXAS ROSE lost much ground and was held safe. MILLION BUCKS was outrun. AULEE was eased after a quarter. EPIDOR opened up a wide advantage in the first three-sixteenths, continued to hold sway decisively to the final quarter, where he tired, but gave way very slowly and was never in serious danger. PLAYMAY saved .ground throughout, moved up easily on the stretch turn, but was under light urging thereafter. OTTOMAN, kept under snug-restraint for a half mile, was placed to a drive on the stretch turn and raced under severe pressure while holding on well thereafter. WEST WICHITA, on the outside throughout, was slow to respond, but closed with good speed. ALUP saved ground early, responded when placed to pressure after reaching the stretch and held on courageously to the end. MACAWLEE displayed the most speed from the start, was taken to the inside in the first eighth and was nicely in hand to the final five-sixteenths, but tired in the stretch. PAULSON took command at once, was rated along under a good hold to the final three-sixteenths, tired in the last eighth, but held the race safe. DIXIE FLAPPER, well in hand for three-quarters and kept on the inside after the first three-eighths, failed to withstand T. MARCUS challenge when entering the stretch, but held on well and but for being kept directly behind PAULSON might have finished closer up. T. MARCUS responded when called upon after three-quarters, but tired in the late stages. TEXAS BOY had no mishaps. SURE SWIFT quit badly after a half mile in his poor effort.
