Webb Everett Named General Manager of Del Mar Track DEL MAR, Calif., May 5.— The appointment of Webb Everett as general manager of "lei Mar, which is preparing for the tenth season here from July 26 through September 10, was announced today by the executive committee of Joe Schenck, Jay Paley and Harry Brand. Everett, nationally known racing official, wHl also continue as director of racing at the local seaside course. He will maintain his position as racing secretary and handi-capper at Santa Anita, a post he has held since the latter course opened. The Del Mar executive committee also appointed O. L. McKenney as assistant general manager in addition to his established duties as manager of operations.
