New Jersey Notes GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 5. Trainer Reggie Bradbury announced today that Welaunie, a four-year-old filly, has been sold by E. Barry Ryan to Lily B. Deming, New Jersey patroness, at private terms. Bradbury trains the Ryan-owned thoroughbreds. Alfoxie, owned by Mrs. F. Ambrose Clark, arrived today from Belmont Park to fulfill her engagement in the Colonial Stakes, the week-end feature. Jockey Charlie Martens, who performed brilliantly as an apprentice at Garden State Park last season, has returned to the Camden course. The Elmont, N. Y., youngster is under contract to Brookmeade Sta ble and will do the saddle chores for that pretentious organization during the spring meeting here. Dan Chappell, who came down from New York for the opening, will return to New York tomorrow, from which point he will later depart for his Miami, Fla., home. Ray Bryson was called to his Belair, Md., home yesterday on important business, but plans to return here to take over the supervision of the pretentious stable he has campaigning here. Apprentice Danny Pearlsweig, of Philadelphia, who suffered a broken wrist and hand at Havre de Grace, recently, has taken out an agents license and will make the riding engagements for jockey Colin Shaw. Young Perlsweig, under contract to P. Da Lee Watts, will return to the saddle I as soon as he has recovered completely.
