New York Notes BELMONT PARK. Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 5. Trainer William Passmore shipped Lieut. Well over to Pimlico in an effort to have Bayard Sharpes chaser win the Jervis Spencer Steeplechase for the third straight time. Jockey Willie Passmore came up from Maryland to ride Mrs. F. Ambrose Clarks Tea-Maker in the Toboggan Handicap. He will return to Pimlico on Saturday. Jockey Conn McCreary will be back in local action next Tuesday, following a Kentucky pilgrimage which included riding and after-dinner speaking. • Jockey Bobby Permanes fractured collarbone is completely healed and his injured leg is responding well to treatment ! under the watchful care of Dr. Alexander Kaye at Physicians Hospital. Frank E. Kilroe, The Jockey Clubs assistant handicapper, left for Churchill Downs and the Derby.
