Apprentice Lindsays Father Dies After Prolonged Illness SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 5. — John Jack Lindsay, well-known horseman and father of apprentice Arthur Jack Lindsay, died today after a prolonged illness at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago. He was 50 years of age. Arthur Lindsay was scheduled to ride three horses on the card here this afternoon, but cancelled the mounts. The deceased was a native of California and raced thoroughbreds on the minor circuit there for many years.
