Jacobs at Hagyard Farm LEXINGTON, Ky., May 5.— Hirsch Jacobs ; took a day off from the training of . his Derby horse, Palestinian, and motored 1 over from Churchill Downs today. He spent ; most of the day looking over the mares whom he and Isidore Bieber board at Dr. • Charles Hagyards farm. The Bieber-Jacobs stable is also standing the imported horse, Basileus II., there for his first year in the stud. Basileus II. was purchased at the Keeneland fall sales of 1946 from the estate of Joseph Widener for 0,000. He raced well in this country, winning the Southern Maryland Handicap and other races.
