LITTLE FAIR went into a clear lead after a furlong, was shaken up on the far turn and won fully extended. SWEEPGOLD was forced wide on the firsl turn, made up ground on the rail and wore down GHOST BOUND for the place. The latter made a game bid on the far turn and weakened. FEDERAL AGENT caught tired horses. HILLTOPPER ran out on the first turn. SONS STYLE was outrun. TRUE TIME and COUNT CHAT quit. AVOCA MESSAGE went through on the rail to reach the lead and outgamed TOMMY GENTRY. The latter gained command on the rail when the leaders went wide on the first turn, bore out badly from the second turn to the finish and faltered near the end. FUN QUEST had no excuse. SUCCESS ran out while in command on the first turn and failed to menace thereafter. THOMAS and FAIRY BREAD ran extremely wide on the first turn. Scratched— 73427 Roman Grace, 108. LIGHT was within striking distance on the rail, moved up on the outside to displace FEARLESS KEN and won going away. The latter gained the lead when QUEEN KARLING quit, then weakened badly in the final seventy yards. DONNA L. had no mishap. BUSTER MAEDIC showed nothing. GRAND RIVER, away fast, dropped back steadily and showed a poor effort. QUEEN KARLING quit after making the early pace. Overweight— Queen Karling, 31 pounds. FIFTH RACE 7-8 MILE out of chute. WHITE SPRING was best of the others. MUCH PLEASURE had brief speed. MISS MONTSIN challenged boldly on the third turn and quit. JESSICA B. ran extremely wide on the first turn. RICKS RAFT was well placed from the beginning, was on even terms for the lead on the outside in the final furlong and outgamed DR. RSH. The latter made the pace on the rail, was under hard punishment after six furlongs and just missed in a game effort. KHAYGRAM showed a good effort and had no mishap.
