New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 26. Doreens Boy, Audley Farms juvenile, bucked his shins during his race on Tuesday and will be on the shelf temporarily. Trainer Don Ramsay has decided to give Sandy Strand Stables Manna H. a short rest following the failure of the gelding to display the form that made him a three-time winner in Florida before shipping here. Trainer Bob Cramer negotiated the sale of Tattenham and Sunday Love, a pair of juveniles from John H. Clark. The new acquisitions will run in the colors of Mrs. R. Cramer. Ray Metcalf reports that he now has a full brother to Gracie Son, a colt that arrived in Lexington, Ky. Gracie Son, also bred by Metcalf, is by Balladier — Saving Grace and last year earned 4,975, winning seven races. H. T. Homes Kandy Comfort, one of the top sophomore fillies in this sector last year, ha been returned to training for a local campaign. Stakes blanks of the Arlington-Washington Park meeting, covering 67 days of racing from June 20 through September 5, are being distributed at the local racing secretarys office. Trainer P. E. Lister is training three juvenile homebreds for campaigning on the local circuit. All the youngsters are by Bull Brier. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Genter, prominent racing patrons, who have a modest stable of thoroughbreds campaigning at Suffolk Downs, are visiting this point, planning to remain for approximately one month. Mel-vin "Sunshine" Calvert is conditioning the Genter jstring, headed by the promising juvenile colt Unbridled. Jockey Arthur Stone has resumed riding here after resting a few days following his spill while piloting W. W. Waters Bengal Baby on May 17. Owner-trainer L. W. Johnson augmented his string campaigning at Suffolk Downs by vanning Flossie, Nell A., La Princesse and Cavatel from a farm in North Andover, Mass. Final Push, a non-starting son of Some Chance — Equidistant, purchased by Honeywell Farm from C. V. Whitneys consignment to the Belmont sales last summer, has been altered and turned out, according to trainer George Alexandra. Jockey Billy Fisk, currently serving a 10-day suspension at Suffolk Downs, has decided to make a vacation of his period of idleness and will fly tohis home in Los Angeles, returning here when his suspension is ended. Mr. and Mrs. N. Cataldo have purchased the three-year-old filly, Joeval, from the Addison Stable in New York. The new acquisition is being vanned to Suffolk Downs. Frank Ryan, director of publicity at Suffolk Downs, is back at his desk after a short illness had caused his absence from duties. Audley Farms Hi Comedienne bucked his shins during an engagement in Wednesdays third race and will be sidelined temporarily.
