New York Notes BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 26. Athene, who raced well for Edward Las-ker, dropped a colt foal by Count Fleet at John Hertz Stoner Creek Farm. Jockey R. Adair was admitted to the Physicians Hospital for a hernia operation last week. J. H. Skirvin, the trainer, was among the arrivals. He reported that the A. C. Ernst estate-owned yearlings are a most promising lot. Max Hirsch reported this morning that Anthony Franciotti, whom he has under contract, left* his employ without permission. Under the rules of racing, all owners and trainers are notified not to harbor the boy, under pain of suspension or fine. -In the current stakes nominations booklet there is an omission, the fact that there is a 00 starting fee in the Coaching Club American Oaks, feature of this week-end, May 28. Jack Skinner brought up 17 horses from Virginia and reported that he plans to add several more later. The stable is composer of flat and steeplechasers. Trainer Tommy Carroll shipped several horses to Delaware Park to be campaigned by the Circle M Farm. Trainer Jimmy Fitzsimmons has at Aqueduct 60 horses for the Wheatley Stable, Belair Stud and other patrons. This is one of the largest menages in training in New York.
