Camden Sprinters In Stevens Purse Three Dots Making Seasonal Bow Against Greek Warrior, Equibit and Flying Weather GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 26. — With three important stake events scheduled for presentation over the holiday week - end, tomorrows card at Garden State Park, quite naturally, is a bit below the usual standard. The featured event is the Stevens Purse, a six-furlong dash for allowance horses. The field for the Stevens is well-matched and contains the following thoroughbreds: Ella K. Brysons Equibit, William G. Helis Greek Warrior, Dion K. Kerr, Jr.s Flying Weather, Grant Thorns Andy Handy and Mrs. H. K. Hickeys Ocean Front, both of whom are conditioned by Danny Shea; J. H. Rouses Three Dots, Mrs. E. Trun-nells Ike Junior and Mrs. A. Schuttingers Justice. Equibit will be starting for the firsttime this season in New Jersey and has but one previous race for the year, having run during the Pimlico meeting. Finishing in the second position on that occasion, Equibit bowed to the highly proficient mare, Winter Wheat. A repetition of the effort would make the Bryson colorbearer . a definite threat. Flying Weather has been unsuccessful in seven starts this season, but on each occasion has shown a fairly good effort. Most recently he set the pace in a sprint and finished third, three and a half lengths behind Touch Control and Thwarted. Second to Picture Card The record of Andy Handy greatly resembles that of Flying Weather, for the Thorn racer has been close several times but has yet to earn brackets. He was second to Picture Card in 1:11% in his most recent essay. Ocean Front is a capable sort but would prefer a bit more distance for a top performance. Greek Warrior, the seven-year-old Mah-moud gray, was a stakes winner in his younger days, but failed to win a single race last season. He has started but once this year and after setting the pace for five-eighths of a mile trailed the field to the wire. That was in the race won by Picture Card. Justice has spent a good part of his time commuting between New York and New Jersey, and has yet to score a victory in his travels. Ike Junior, too, is without a success, although he has a couple of fair races. Three Dots was, at one time, a pretty shifty sort but has failed to race this season after winning two races in 1948.
