Officials for Oxmoor Chase Program Listed Daingerf ield, Goose, Knebelkamp, Jones, Cronan, Stone to Serve LOUISVILLE, Ky*, May 26.— Thoroughbred racings flat track officials will lend a helping hand here Saturday for the Ox-moor Steeplechase on Shelbyville Road following todays announcement of judges and stewards. Prominent figures of the turf head the judging vanguard with the appointment of Keene Daingerf ield, secretary of the Kentucky Racing Commission, Ros-coe Goose, and Wathen Knebelkamp, president and past president, respectively, of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Breeders Association. Serving as stewards are Warner L. Jones, Jr., C. J. Cronan, Jr., James C. Stone, all of Louisville; Cornelius Alig, Indianapolis, and O. Degray, Cincinnati. Colonel Campbell, who served as starter in the Iroquois Steeplechase at Nashivlle, will return again this year to get the large field away intact. He will be assisted by Scoggan Jones, and Dan Cox. Dr. William J. Martin will act as paddock judge while W. E. Shaw serves as supervisor of the course. Jack Rodes is the stable supervisor. Featured event, is the two and one-half miles gruelling run over hazardous jumps for the Oxmoor trophy and a 00 purse. The program will also include a flat race of one mile, the Oldham County timber race of two-and one-half miles, and the Old Kentucky timber race of three and one-half miles. Tom Young, superintendent of the Churchill Downs racing plant, said today that the steeplechasers will continue to arrive here Wednesday and Thursday from the southern and mid-western states. He announced that the vacant stalls, which have been declared open to the jumpers by Colonel Winn, will be properly bedded.
