Mayer-Breds Garnered 56,130 at Golden Gate Solidarity, Pedigree, Alibhais Sons, Won Two Biggest Stakes ALBANY, Calif., May 26.— The Louis B. Mayer-bred thoroughbreds continued their enviable record of victories and high money-winning averages at the recent Golden Gate Fields meeting with total earnings of 56,130. This figure adds to the already established high money-winning figures of previous California race meetings that they have so prominently identified their ability to perform in all types of races and at all distances. The two feature events of the Golden Gate Handicap with 0,000 added and the Golden Gate Derby with 0,000 added were captured by Solidarity and Pedigree, respectively, both sons of the great stallion Alibhai who was purchased by an Eastern syndicate last year for a record price of 00,000. The Mayer-bred stock was responsible for 28 victories, or a total of 22,145 in first money, 21 seconds for a total of 1,500, 19 thirds for a total of ,100 and 17 fourths for a total of ,385. Other stakes added to the already long list of victories by the motion picture executives stock were the Forty-Niners Handicap with 0,000 added, annexed by Stepfather who .will ultimately go into stud at the Harry M. Warner ranch, The Pacific Handicap with 0,000 added taken by Cover Up, the Berkeley Handicap with 0,000 added won, by Moonrush and the Oakland Handicap with 0,000 added taken by Pedigree. The last of the Mayer-breds which are now yearlings will probably go -under the auctioneers hammer late this year. They consist of many full-brothers and sisters and blood relatives of the innumerable stakes winners of the past.
