► • JOHN HAY WHITNEY— Part owner of the Greentree Stable, whose Paddleduck won yesterdays High Fleet Handicap at Belmont for her third straight success. Three Suburban H opes Meet Today Brown Mogul Has , 126-Pound Impost i Three Rings, Contest Also Get Prep for Rich Fixture In Mile Event at Belmont - BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., ; May 26.— The Pasteurized Purse, at one * mile, is regarded as the best offering for ; tomorrow and five were named for this : feature, which is fashioned for four-year- 5 olds and upward. Interest in the race will -center about Three Rings, owned by Mrs. * Evelyn Hopkins; Joe W. Browns Brown 2 Mogul and King Ranchs Contest. These 3 three are prospects for the mile and one-quarter Suburban Handicap to be run on J Monday. Brown Mogul is the topweight of the lot ; and is slated to carry 126 pounds, con- j ceding six to Contest and 10 to Three Rings. Danada Gift will carry 103, which includes a five-pound apprentice allowance and jockey Gordon Glisson, while Yankee Hill has a seven-pound allowance and apprentice Perez, with 109. Hopkins Racers Probable Choice The task of conceding the weight appears beyond the capabilities of the Joe W. Brown-owned starter for on recent showings he failed to demonstrate the necessary class to cope with either Three Rings or Contest. On a fast track,* the Mrs. Hopkins-owned starter, who will have Doug Dodson in the saddle, looms as the probable choice over the King Ranch color-bearer. Should the track turn muddy or sloppy overnight, Contest will assume the role. This fellow is more suited in the "off" footing that his younger opponent. The race shapes up as a duel between these two, with riding honors about even as Dave Gorman will be astride the King Ranch racer. Danada Gift, under his feathery impost, cannot be disregarded on an "off" track for at times he has shown ability to negotiate that type of footing. Under the impost he is given an outside chance to upset the pre-race calculations. The Pasteurized, named for a Belmont Stakes winner who raced for the late Mrs. W. Plunket Stewart, carries an overnight value of ,000. The Punch Bowl, secondary feature, is a dash down the Widener Course at five furlongs for juveniles. This event will mark the debut of the long -heralded speed marvel from the Greentree Stable, Androcles. This fellow, according to dockers, is said to be one of the best prospects of the year.
