Irvine Kort Will Keep His Stable at Downs for Summer CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 26. — Irvine Kort, well-known Kentucky breeder and horseman, will remain at Churchill Downs through the summer months rather than carry through with his original plan of campaigning at the Fair Grounds meeting in Detroit. Kort said late Tuesday that three of his four horses were not quite ready for Detroit and, consequently, he will keep Boots Image, Desert Queen and Dusty Spain here. Kort, who operates the Kort Manor Farm just outside Louisville, fired the latter two-year-old today and is particularly high on the possibilities of Dusty Spain for competition in Florida next winter. He also added that Little Bimbi, who ran during the recent meeting here, may be shipped to Lincoln Fields next week for a whirl at the Chicago purses.
