SAYBIRD, a sharp factor from the break, went up on the outside for the drive, took command, then drew clear. JACKS NIECE was sent up on the inside to gain the lead and drew clear in the stretch, but faltered near the end. SPOTTY, slow to begin, was taken to the outside for the drive and closed with a belated rush. DOUBLE MOOSE, between horses early, went up on the rail for the drive and was blocked and impeded. MILL CAT weakened in the drive. MISS CROSSBOW quit after setting the pace for a half mile. STAGE PLAY showed nothing.- ARKANSAS ran out coming out of the turn. TOP TIGER DEVELOPED LAMENESS DURING THE POST PARADE, WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN AND ALL WAGERS ON HIM WERE REFUNDED. Scratched— 72368 Top Tiger. 113; 74632 Dollys Beauty, 105. LITTLE TONY, hustled along in the opening furlong to reach a slight lead, drew clear when urged midstretch and won easily. WHITEFORD TET forced the pace on the outside, swerved sharply to the inside in the stretch and weakened. RAFFLE HOUSE worked his way up on the rail to be best of the others. SWELL CHANCE went up between horses while improving position and tired in the drive. P00D00 was through after five furlongs. POPPA GEORGE showed little. OFF AT 3:171 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate for all but GOLDEN CROSS. Won driving; second and third the same. HARD WAR saved ground while well placed, was taken to the outside for the drive and wore down MISS CLARA. The latter went into the lead at the start and drew clear quickly, then held on well, but was not good enough. MANNEQUIN was well placed from the break and showed a good effort LEGISLATOR lost some ground on the turn, but lacked a rally when straightened for the drive. GOLDEN CROSS refused to break. MISS STEPHANIE made the pace between horses, drew clear when roused and won easily. KALIMERA was bothered just after the start, then was blocked coming out of the turn, moved up willingly when clear and turned in a good effort. HILLBROOK MISS, slow to gain stride, moved up between horses to be closest to the pace and faltered. VISIONAL lost some ground coming out of the turn. DANCE BAND displayed early speed and weakened as if short of a top effort. ETERNAL GLOW quit after showing early speed. RAG DOLL STAR raced forwardly for three furlongs and save way. TRICKY DEAL forced the pace on the rail until ready for the drive, disposed of PHANTOM HEELS on the outside and drew away. The latter established a clear lead before a quarter, was hard put when challenged and weakened badly near the end. CONTORTIONIST lost ground all the way. GRAND RIVER tired. SANTA FE came in .slightly while on even terms for the lead on the outside on the first turn, drew clear on the backstretch and, after a half, gradually increased his margin to win easily. APPROVAL, steadied for six .furlongs, went up on the rail in the drive and wore down SUPERWOLF for the place. The latter saved ground and had no excuse. GOOD STORY was in close quarters on the first turn, but forced his way between horses and was under urging after a half, tiring in the drive. BODENS PAL, far back as usual, failed to respond. REIGHS COMET, eased back on the rail on the first turn when in close quarters when veering for the lead, moved up on the outside when clear and tired. Overweight— Puddle Jumper, 2 pounds.
