MOON BABY went to the front at once, established a long lead entering the stretch and was mildly urged thereafter to hold DISH safe. The latter, outrun to the last three-eighths, was sent to the extreme outside for the stretch run and closed fast, but could not get to the winner, although much the best of the others. FOXY PATE could not better his position when set down for the drive. COPPER POT lacked early speed and was never dangerous. COMMITMENT tired after racing prominently to the stretch. SUN BOUND could not handle the sloppy track and was never a serious threat. PROUD JACK tired after displaying early speed. SIR SPRITE began slowly and was far back throughout. MAJOR NICK could not keep up. Attendance, 7,000 Estimated; Total Mutuel Pool, 83,928.
