Illinois Notes SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 11. Lawrence C. Bogenschutz, racing secretary at Lincoln Fields, received word that Robert McGarvey, trainer of the Mrs. Emil Denemark unit, would ship part of his extensive contingent to Chicago, Friday night. The remainder of the stable, including the highly regarded three-year-old colt, Ruhe. will depart Sunday. Perne L. Grissom, Detroit sportsman, will transfer his formidable stable to Washington Park over the week-end. The Grissom racers are trained by Walter J. Susini. Among the most recent arrivals from Louisville for the Lincoln Fields-at-Wash-ington meet was the public unit maintained by J. P. "Tiny" Keezek. The veteran conditioner has several promising three-year-olds under his jurisdiction. ■ » Lyle Dilger, conditioner of the Murray Hill Farm, has received stalls for his unit at Washington Park. Included in the string , are Boo Boo Shoo and the three-year-old. Lyles First, who was defeated the narrowest of margins by Mrs. Emil Denemarks Ruhe in the 1951 Arkansas Derby. Joe Gunther, conditioner of a sizable public unit, transferred his stable to De- troit. Included in the shipment were Tiger Matt, Illustrate, Nola, Copito, Noble One, Jacks Town, Paul John and OBriens Pat. Felix Rando, owner of several horses quartered here under the supervision of A. J. Tusa, arrived from his home in New Orleans. Rando will remain for several days before returning to the Crescent City. Cedric Nelson, trainer of the Valley View 1 Farm, has made arrangements to transfer c his contingent to Washington Park over 1 the week-end. Included in the Valley View t unit are Lextown and Sabaean. t Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Emick returned to their home at Kansas City following a brief I stay in Chicago. The Emick stable, under t the supervision of C. W. Tague, will move £ over to Washington Park following the f conclusion of the present session. J Trainer George Manley departed for 1 c 1 t t I t £ f J l Fairmount Park with Camolino and Aristo- l 15 crat, both of whom are owned by Mrs. Isabelle Levy. Bill Greene, remaining member of the Manley unit, will stay here under the supervision of Dean Howell. Edwin Rouleau and Floyd Alsbury, members of the local official colony, are slated _ 16 to serve in similar capacities during the Sportsmans Park trotting season. Darrus led the trainers during the 1950 spring session at the Collins-vine track.
