New Jersey Notes GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 11. Walter "Mickey" Wilkerson, veteran Louisville, Ky. owner-trainer, brought in seven head from New England. Wilkerson reports that the string will be augmented by the arrival of Mickeys Gal, Great Doctor and Rhodes Pet, a two-year-old, who have been in training in Kentucky. Agent E "Big Whitey" Danhauer announces that he has taken over the engagements for veteran jockey Gayle L. Smith. The former contract rider for William Zeigler, Jr., was very successful dur- i ing the Gulfstream Park meeting and checked in here on Saturday from a brief visit to New York. Danhauer previously handled the book of William Balzaretti. who was injured prior to the sixth race on Saturday. Tommy Bonham had the horses Fulgoia, Elexis and Pompian dispatched from Lexington in" company with three unnamed two-year-olds. Private Alfred Tryon, young Canadian-born jockey who was recently inducted into the Armed Forces, has left for the West Coast where he will serve with the Signal Corps. Tryon ejpjoyed a visit to Garden State Park during his furlough and renewed many acquaintances.
