Delawares Little Brown Jug Draws Entries of 62 Pacers DELAWARE, Ohio, May 11.— Headed by the better than 0,000 Little Brown Jug classic for three-year-old pacers, the program for the 1951 Delaware County Fair Grand Circuit, this September, was announced recently by Joe Neville, chairman of the committee! The four-day card consists of 12 stakes and four overnight events, making the total purse distribution amount to over 00,000. There is a strong possibility that the Jug will be worth over 0,000 as 62 three-year-olds remain eligible. The Little Brown Jug was raced for the first time in 1946 when the Society sponsored the classic for pacers. Ensign Hanover, driven by Wayne Smart, won the first race valued at 5,359 and last season Dudley Hanover, with his driver, Del Miller, "tipped" the Jug in 2:02%, fastest in history to win first money of the 7,000 purse.
