Won driving; second and third the same. YOU AND ME made the pace early but could not match strides with JANET MAHER on the turn, came out for the drive to dispose of the leader and drew clear under punishment. LANDLORD saved ground early, was forced a trifle wide in midstretch and closed willingly. JANET MAHER was rushed up from the outside to reach the lead and gave way in the final furlong. ROYAL FREEDOM lacked speed and saved ground when catching tired horses with a belated bid. THENDARA had early speed and tired. MISS STONE had no excuse. REDUCE was with the leaders on the outside, took command and drew out when CHARLEY FOY gave way in the stretch and, tiring badly, just lasted. A claim of foul against the winner by the rider of FANCY TALK was not allowed. The latter was slow to gain stride, went wide entering the stretch, closed strongly and just missed. DRESS AFFAIR went by tired horses on the inside. RINGGOLDIAN ran out enterinq the stretch when tiring. CHARLEY FOY had early speed and gave way suddenly once displaced. SNEAK dropped back sharply just after the start, saved ground on the turn, went up on the outside when gaining best stride, wore down TOPS ALL in the final stride and came out of the race slightly lame. The latter was steadied on the turn when outrun for the lead, gained the lead between calls in the final furlong and just missed. KING HAL gained command a furlong after the start, came to the rail entering the turn and held on stubbornly until the final 50 yards LISTEN TO ME came out of the race slightly lame. RISQUE MA, slow to reach best stride, went through on the rail and took a clear lead between calls in the stretch, but was not good enough. SIRTEMA was forced beyond the middle of the track entering the stretch. TENAFLY tired. MANY ISLANDS shewed nothing.
