Chambers and Armstrong i Stables to Race at River Downs- RIVER DOWNS, Cincinnati, Ohio, May i J 11. — While River Downs is being readied for its 44-day meeting, to be ushered in I j Memorial Day, May 30, thoroughbreds continue to arrive in a steady stream. Appli- _ cations for stabling room have been heavy and, judging from the list, it is apparent ] that some of the best horses in many years 1 will be seen in action at the beautiful Ohio River course. i Among the number of regulars returning will be J. A. Chambers, Nashville, Tenn., i sportsman, who is bringing the star of the t 1950 meeting, Mister Morgan, along with the good four-year-old Bolingover and the i sturdy Big Road, both of whom are ex- £ pected to display top form throughout the i meeting. i One of the largest stables scheduled to ] 1 i i t i £ i i participate in the session will be the 20 that Reed Armstrong will ship here at the close of the Churchill Downs meeting. ! Armstrong has been a River Downs regular. 1 Leo Wagner, who is currently campaign- 3 ing at Churchill Downs, will send 14 head 1 to the local oval, including Jimpin, Mickey j W. and My Sister, familiar figures to race i fans in this section. Another horseman scheduled to arrive at the end of the Louis- ville meeting is Rudy Tryon, who is bring- ing the speedy Little Imp, Aldale and Mad 1 Cord with his eight-horse stable.
