KISS ME QUICK was through early. C0DAC dueled for the lead briefly and quit. UVIRAS COMET showed nothing. PASS BOOK could not keep up. The latter disposed of SEXTANT to set the pace, held on tenaciously when engaged and just missed. BLACKMONT, unhurried early, circled the field while improving his position, but failed to menace the top ones. COUNTRY BOY II. closed ground after being slow to respond. DIXIE YANK raced forwardly placed and weakened. MISS DOW was unable to gain a forward position. CAPTAIN BOUDOUR failed to respond when roused. SEXTANT flattened out badly when outrun for the early lead. TOWNHOUSE showed nothing. ROY 0. quit. ATTENTION MARK, under steadying restraint during the early running, rallied readily under mild urging, wore down the leaders and drew clear to win easily. BULL v/rested command from flARE MINERAL on the final turn, but could not resist the winner. VAMANOS, allowed to trail early, rallied mildly on the final turn and weakened. SATURDAY, within striking distance while racing on her own courage early, moved boldly when roused only mildly, assumed command in the early stretch and drew clear to be an easy winer. TAMPERO raced FRATERNAL into defeat to draw clear on the final turn, then was no match. MARCION, taken up sharply when he ran up on the heels of FRATERNAL leaving the three-eighths pole, closed willingly and outfinished the others. GUMPTIOUS showed nothing. LARRY DOOLEY raced wide while with the leaders rounding the first turn, remained a factor to the stretch and quit. FRATERNAL raced forwardly and was taken up sharply near the three-furlong marker. MULLY S. assumed command in the run around the first turn, disposed of IRISH GAME without pressure and steadily increased his advantage to win with speed to spare. EUCLID, under string restraint early, was no match for the winner, but responded to gain the nod over IRISH GAME. The latter was prominent to midway of the final turn and weakened. CALL OVER, formidable from the start, assumed command late on the turn and cleverly retained his advantage during the stretch run. He was declared the official winner only after the stewards had made an inquiry into the running. TEA-MAKER was always a factor, was. forced to race wide through the stretch and lacked a closing spurt. ROYAL GOVERNOR, unhurried when outrun early, saved ground and closed fastest of all. TIDY SUM set the pace and held on gamely while drifting slightly wide through the stretch. SULEIMAN could not keep up. SYMPOSIUM displayed speed along the backstretch, floundered badly leaving the half-mile ground and, while being pulled up, died of natural causes and fell. PREACHER sprinted clear rounding the first turn, held a commanding advantage into the stretch and gave way. WOHNEDA closed with good energy when able to move between horses through the stretch. ILLUSTRATION faltered badly after holding the runner-up position. TRUE DREAM could not keep up. TARPORT KID flattened out badly. FIGHTING GAL quit. Scratched-28539 Wide Margin. 115. GALLANT JAKE, under stout restraint while setting the pace, could not resist the winner. EPIC CHANCE held a forward position, but lacked a rally. KING FREEDOMS closed well from far back to finish on even terms with EPIC CHANCE. THE FLIER showed nothing. BEST RULE quit. SAINTE ODETTE was outrun.
