Illinois Notes WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., May 29. Owner and trainer Nolan Pigg arrived upon the local scene with the three racers now under his direction. The shipment included In Earnest, In the Bay and Ever On. Most recent arrival from Churchill Downs was the . modest unit owned -by A. Ferrara and conditioned by Glen Fowler. Comprising the contingent were Cub, Smart Eddie and Swamp Son. -— — ♦ FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., May 29. At private terms, Enoch Rea disposed of the four-year-old filly, Gessy B., to J. Banks and F. Trense. Gessy B. scored impressively here in her outing last Saturday night. Apprentice Sam Massaro arrived at -the local scene and reported to trainer E. Mc-Mahon, his contract owner. The lad, who hails from Chicago, was leading apprentice rider at Vancouver, B. C, last year and can do the lightweight of 105 pounds. Jack Taylor has taken over the training of Bossy Kid and Hi Goodie. The pair of four-year-olds are owned by W. Fisher and were formerly trained by R. Fisher. Trainer J. D. Mikel brought four head from Chicago. For W. A. Mikel he registered Floral Trail, Chinese Yen, and the two-year-old Hyby. For Mrs. N. M. Mikel, he brought the four-year-old Hypocrisy. Jockey Sammy Roberts, one of the top riders here, serves as outrider at the meeting held at Sportsmans Park in Cicero. F. Rando is being represented here by a useful string which includes Genie Fox, Papa Felix, This High, Camps First, Kapi-nisca, and Frank Bandel. The stable is trained by A. J. Tusa. Jockey J. Huggins arrived from Chicago and will ride throughout this meeting.
