Fanfare in Six-Furlong Move WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., May 29.— Calumet Farms Fanfare, one of the more prominent contenders for tomorrows 5,000 Peabody Memorial, took to the track between the sixth and seventh races on todays program and reeled off six furlongs in 1:14 in impressive fashion. With jockey Doug* Dodson in the irons, the three-year-old traversed the initial quarter mile of his assignment in :24%, three furlongs in :36%, half mile in :48%, and the five furlongs in 1:01%. Fanfares move appeared creditable, indeed, considering the heavy condition of the strip. Ben Jones, conditioner of the Calumet racer, stated that the colt definitely would not start in the Peabody should a muddy track prevail.
