Won driving; second and third the same, ISLE OF PEACE, showing better speed than usual, was within striking distance from the start, swung wide into the stretch, but then bore over while taking command in the last stages and drew out. DIVIDEND PAYER was rushed up to force the pace,. gained a clear lead inside the final furlong, but faltered suddenly and was bothered lightly by the winner near the end. STAR SPOT, unable to keep up early, came between horses and closed with a rush. KALLUKI had his usual speed, but quit in the drive. SUGAR ALLEY was unable to reach- the leaders early and quit. ANTE FEE raced evenly. ALVIN H. began sluggishly. SRINAGAR, fractious at the gate, showed nothing. SWEET BUTTER was well ridden white setting the pace and occasionally shaken up to repulse challengers, drew into a clear lead for the stretch run, then lasted under vigorous handling to best DAWN 0 PEACE. The latter was under intermittent urging to reach a forward position from the inside, was steadied on the stretch turn and brought to the outside, then drifted wide while closing in fast at the end. DENTIFRICE was unhurried while outrun early, was sent into blind quarters on the final turn and forced to be taken back and to the extreme outside, then finished fastest of all. PADDOCK ACRES -raced prominently placed between horses and weakened. IRON FOX made repeated bids for the lead and quit in the drive. PIRATE GOLD raced evenly on the outside. TRUMPET CALL quit. Won driving; second and third the same. SEA GRASS was confidently handled while on the outside of horses and close to the pace, closed determinedly when urged for the final run, but had to be carefully handled while lugging in badly. TESTATOR was a sharp factor between horses, reached the front between calls in the drive, then was slightly crowded by the winner while weakening in the last stages. ASH TRAY easily established a long early lead, but quit in the drive. CONTRIVE was guided wide to be clear of horses iri the drive and could not get up. SANDHURST could not handle the track and tired. FOX RUN was outrun. DUBOIS RED dwelt at the start, began far behind the field and had no chance. HEAD STREAM was alertly sent to the front from the inside at the beginning, saved ground in setting an even pace and drew out in the last stages to win handily. CURRENT NEWS bore out slightly on the turns while in closest attendance to the pace, then weakened when set down for the final run. JOY C, unable to keep up after a good beginning and dropping back between horses, lacked clear racing room on the turns, then closed well on the inside in the stretch. MASTER SHOWMAN, bothered and forced back sharply on ihe far turn, remained on the extreme outside throughout and finished fast. ETERNAL WAY was not a serious factor. SPINDLE was bumped and forced back by CAMP RHYMER in the drive, losing all chance. CAMP RHYMER had good early speed, but bore out badly * through 3 ■ the final quarter mile. JIMMINY GOSH quit. CUTTING EDGE was nicely rated setting the pace, bore out suddenly on the stretch turn and had to be taken in hand to be straigtened then was not good enough. GREAT FUN was under snug restraint while well placed behind the KoerS dSSUvaW1 then weakened as if short, when urged for the drive. CLEAN BROOM quit in the drive.
