MARY in the stretch, then drew out OMAR BOY, rushed boldly on the final turn, neared the leaders, but was unable to menace at the end. U. S. MARY set the pace to the stretch, then weakened. PHIL HARRIS hung after nearing contention. O. G. KELLEY was never prominent. MALSI showed nothing. ZANELLA was unable to keep up. JOCK CLARK and LEAP YEAR LASS were outrun. QUEENS TASTE was hustled to take a clear lead soon after the start, saved ground, but shortened stride in the stretch. DEBMODE was in hand while being kept within striking distance of the pace and rallied mildly when roused. LARRY ELLIS, sluggish in the early stages, was unable to make up appreciable ground under pressure. MARKET HILL had no mishap. MARVINA K. tired. BEDA BULL was never prominent. CHACMA was rushed to takeeemmand after a quarter mile, drew clear in the stretch, then faltered. NIGHT AGAIN, in close quarters early, moved to the inside, but lacked a closing rally. STAR BILLING went evenly. PINK GIN rushed boldly on the turn, then flattened out. MARPHIL saved ground to no avail. STOCK EXCHANGE went evenly. CHALLENGO lacked early speed. THINGAMY had brief speed. FLIC FLAC, forwardly placed in the slow pace, was under stout restraint while between the leaders, came to the outside of the leader entering the stretch, responded gamely when caught between horses to edge away in the final furlong. KASCO KNIGHT, on the outside of the. pace, gained a short advantage and came to the inside in the stretch, but was unable to shake off tha winner. BLENTIGO broke sluggishly, was taken wide on the first turn, moved to engage the leaders after six furlongs, then failed to respond to weak handling through the stretch. SAM H. had no mishap.
