Lee Farnsworth Has Seven In Training at Ascot Park AKRON, Ohio, May 29.— Akron will be well represented at the 43 -day Ascot Park meeting which opens on Saturday, June 2. The seven-horse string of, the local sportsman, Lee Farnsworth, has been in, training at the Ascot oval for the last two weeks and has rounded into peak condition. Farnsworth started the five-year-old Ess Jay Ess at the Charles Town meeting and recorded a show effort. Last year that runner recorded a trio of victories here. Gifted Miss, the six-year-old mare, also was a three-time winner last year. Only a single win and place race was registered for Mr. Transline. But the racer was a good runner and wound up a half dozen races taking down the show money. Boss B. couldnt get his nose on that wire in front but was close enough for the place chips four times. Another familiar name for Ascot fans is that of Mrs. O Basile. She is back with her hard hitting trio of Dark Image, Enlisted Man and Tettington. It was the latter that set the six and one-half furlong record at Cranwood in 1950 before coming to Ascot. In only a single race did Tettington finish out of the money. -
