MEYERSDALE was. hustled to the front early, held a short lead when settled for the stretch run and, responding to punishment, won going away. BOWLED OVER, away sluggishly, moved up" fast after the start, made a good bid when set down in the drive, but could not reach the top one. LUCKY D00, never far back, was kept to the inside for the stretch run, but could, not better her position when subjected to punishment WAR HAL faltered during the drive. BOTHER raced wide. FENELANE could not keep up. FULL GAINER lacked early speed. DESERT RAID was outrun. LADY HALTAL bore out during the last three-eighths mile. TOLECA moved into command before going a quarter, gave way to SPRING FOLLY, then came again when set down through the stretch and was up In the last seventy yards. SPRING FOLLY, a keen factor from the start, established a clear lead when settled for the drive and held on willingly, but was unable to withstand the winner. JOES SUN, outrun early, finished fasi under punishment, but could not overtake the leaders. COUNTRY EDITOR began sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention, but tired during the drive. DREAM COMFORT had a rough trip. RESORT lacked early speed and was never dangerous. BLABBER MOUTH, in close quarters entering the stretch, could not threaten when clear. WESTERN FRONT raced "wide throughout, losing all chance. ROYTIG gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. COUNT QUICK had no mishap. MON SPEED, well handled, raced " evenly ta" the stretch, was taken out for the drive and, responding to urging, wore down the leaders during the last sixteenth. JESSICA B., a sharp factor from the beginning, held on well when set down in the drive, but could not withstand the top one. CRACK REWARD lacked early speed, bu finished fast under punishment AUGUST went to the fropt early, made the pace to the last eighth, then faltered. DATE BOOK, on the inside during the run to the. upper turn, failed to rally when set down through the stretch. ACTNICE began slowly. ACME could not keep up. KING PIGEON had no mishap and failed to rally when set down through the stretch. INFURIATED began alertly, but could not keep up. MAN BAR was outrun. CASS IE F. showed nothing. The latter raced nearest the top one after the start, closed resolutely under punishment but could not overtake the winner. BEST OF BREED, racing greenly and away slowly, gradually improved position after the start and, taken out for the drive, finished willingly, but probably needed her race. LEASE HOUND held on well in a good effort and had no excuse. LEAS SON lacked early speed. BROWN SCOUT, knocked back before going a quarter mile, failed to recover. SO GRAND tired during the stretch run. SURE MAC began alertly, but dropped far back after the" break. ARPEGE was outrun: BEAUTY SPOT was caught between ARPEGE and NIGHT PARADE during the drive, was forced to ease back and could not threaten when finally clear.
