Hackney Inks Eagles Pact PHILADELPHIA, Pa., May 29 UP.— Gerald Hackney, 217-pound former Kansas State fullback, has signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Fotoball League, general manager Vince McNally announced today. Hackney, of Oberlin, Kan., who signed as a free agent, is the twelfth rookie on the Birds roster for 1951. He is a brother of Elmer "One-Man-Gang" Hackney, who played with the Eagles in 1940.
