THE PEER, away fast and never far - back, raced to ROYCE during the stretch run and, after disposing of the latter, won goin gaway. ROYCE, never * far back, assumed command after three-eighths mile, continued determinedly when set down in the drive, but *- could not withstand the winner. MISS PLACE lacked early speed, but finished fast in a good effort. HARBOUR- TON gave a fair effort and had no mishap. BEAUTYS TIGER tired during the drive. COUNT STEEL had a 2 rough trip./ EAST HILL failed to stay after showing early speed. BOOTS BEST was outrun. DOUBLE 0. began n sluggishly. FLASHY KAY lacked early speed and raced wide. SICKLES IMAGE, hustled to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under steady handling, responded readily when set down for the drive and won going away, pulling,up with a badly cut mouth, which bled profusely. DIXIE FLYER gradually worked way forward, finished fast under punishment but could not get to the winner. BULLY BOY, sharp factor from the start, drifted out at the stretch turn and then closed determinedly when straightened for the drive. BATED BREATH faltered after racing well to the stretch. PUR SANG was never dangerous and raced wide for the entire trip. BEE LEE TEE was through early. IS THERE was outrun. RADICAL was eased when his rider broke a near stirrup iron leavingrthe stall gate. SECOND AVENUE, showing marked improvement over His recent start, was forwardly placed from the outset, reached the lead after disposing of TRAVELER and held MISS BOBBIN safe. The latter, away sluggishly and outrun to the stretch, closed with a rush and was getting to the winner. SUFFKI raced evenly for a half mile, then made up ground in the drive, but could not reach the top ones. DEAR TINT gave a fair effort and had no mishap. AIR FLIGHT was never a serious threat. ALA MOWLEE tired. TRAVELER went to the front early on his own courage after his rider lost his off side stirrup iron, then made the pace until inside, the stretch before tiring. NINTH RACE. 1 MILE. BUSS UP, never far back, finished strongly under punishment, but could not reach the winner. PENNWOVEN lacked early speed, but made up ground during the drive. PINSK raced well to the final furlong, then faltered. RENA POP went to the front after three-eighths mile, crowded BLUE NONA leaving the upper turn and held on well to the stretch before tiring. SON 0 SKY failed to rally when set down through, the stretch. NIPPING showed nothing. JOHN A. S. was never dangerous. MISS OREILLY could not keep up after displaying early speed.
