OFF AT 2:12J EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. CHEVRON ACE raced evenly to the stretch, was taken out for the drive and, responding to punishment, disposed of MISTER MAC, then held LADY ROWENA safe. The latter, in the middle of the track for the stretch run, finished strongly but could not get to the winner. MISTER MAC, never far back, went to the front after three-eighths mile, held a clear lead when settled for the drivfe but faltered near the .finish. MR. FEATHERS gave a good effort and had no mishap. AGUACATE had early speed but failed to stay when set down injhe drive. THREE HIGH was outrun. INFURIATED began sluggishly. QUICK RATE raced well for a half mile, then gave way: CLEARBROOK raced wide throughout and gave a dull performance. MUCHO WHITE was outrun. SON AL was never dangerous. HARD TO GET went to the front before going a quarter mile, established a good lead entering the stretch but was ridden out to retain a clear advantage to the_finish. HALS LINDA, never far back, gave a good effort but could not reach the winner while , easily best of the others. 0. K. DOAK raced wide at the stretch turn and could not seriously threaten the top ones, when straightened for the drive. BENDANEAR lacked early speed and was never dangerous. BIG IKE began sluggishly. RAY DON was outrun. LEFT BANK raced nearest HARD TO GET for a half mile, then gave way. LULLABY TIME had early foot but failed to -stay. OIL PRINCESS assumed an early lead, raced FIREY ONE into defeat before entering the stretch, then gamely withstood a brisk drive to hold BILLS HYGRO safe. BILLS HYGRO, a sharp factor from the start, finished well. PHAROS DREAM, away slowly, steadily made up ground after the start and finished willingly under urging. LIEBESKIND saved ground throughout, but failed to rally when set down in the drive. FIREY ONE, engaged OIL PRINCESS for a half mile, then gave way. FULL CIRCLE lacked early speed, but moved up boldly approaching the stretch, then was unable to seriously threaten the top one when set down in the drive. CABOOSE gave a fair effort and had no mishap. IBERIA BOY began alertly, but failed to stay. BENTONS LUCY tired during the stretch run. DIXVILLE was hustled to the front early, made the pace to the stretch while engaging DOUBLE BLUSH, raced the latter into defeat and continued gamely under urging to retain a clear advatnage over MOCK BATTLE. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, finished well under punishment, but could not reach the top one. DOUBLE BLUSH, away fast raced nearest DIXVILLE to the stretch, then faltered. DISH OF TEA saved ground entering the stretch, but failed J.0n.,w.he!Lse down in lhe drive- LITTLE DONOR swerved during the stretch run, impeding his mate, HOPTOWN. The latter was outrun to the stretch and could not threaten when finally clear from LITTLE DONOR during the drive. THISTLE WAR began slowly and was never dangerous. BUSY FOX showed nothing. RIGMAROLE saved ground from the start, remained next to the inner rail and finished strongly but could not withstand the winner. BLACK BANTAM, never far back and in hand to the stretch, could not better his position when set down in the drive. SINN FEIN raced prominently for three-quarters mile, then faltered. SIR RUSTOM was never dangerous. GREEN SABER failed to stay after showing early foot QUICK TULIP went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive.
