VANTAGE went to the front at once and, racing as if clearly the best, increased his advantage as he went on to win easily. CONSTANT SUSAN was always a strong contender for second place, but was all out at the end to hold RUMOR SIR. The latter lost ground on the stretch turn, but finished strongly and gamely. NIKOH BABY was badly outrun early, and raced wide while making her move, but was going well at the end. WHITE BRAND had a rather rough trip. HOPEIDO tired. BORN TO WIN moved fast on the outside leaving the backstretch and, although forced wide on the stretch turn, forged to the front and held MARVINS TIP under pressure. MARVINS TIP gained gradually when called upon and was pressing the winner at the end. CLABBERING JIM made the pace and successfully withstood a challenge from LUTZ GIRL, but weakened near the finish.
