Commonwealth Handicap Has 15 Nominees for Renewal SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 31. — The Commonwealth Handicap, one of Suffolk Downs oldest stakes, returns to its original distance of six furlongs this coming Saturday for the first time since 1944 and there are 15 nominees representing li interests eligibles for the week-.end feature. The nominees include Ralph Lowes Pic-tus, Leclaire Stables Ballydam, Mrs. G. Robertsons Spats, Tamarack Stables Sara-jou, Mrs. Eve Brunos Amphiblen, Mrs. M. Rogans Duke Aumar, David Shaers Sun Rene, A. P. Cotters Petey Cotter, the Anthony Cataldo entry of Idio and War Token, the E. M. OBrien entry of Bank Account and Miss Degree and the Phil Schwartz entry of Air Rocket, Busy Signal and Charleston. This is the final sprint stake of the meeting for older horses and off previous three-quarter features at the Downs this meeting, Saturdays handicap shapes up as a keen contest.
