New Mutuel Play Record On Holiday at Beulah Park BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 31. — Memorial Day totals in attendance and mutuel play set new records for the spring meeting at this mid-Ohio plant. For the third time at the meeting the mutuel handle, which reached the total of 61,-" , 807 for the nine-race card, set a new record, surpassing the previous high of 51,-083 established a week ago on a Saturday program. This figure had also topped a previous high set early in the 19-day meeting. Neither is this new mark secure. Early figures from the tote department indicate that the totals for the final day will soar to proportions never before reached at-the Beulah Park scene. The management has elaborate plans to put the increases to good use, planning improvements in plant -capacity, stable accommodations and general landscaping to furthef enhance the grounds in preparation for the fall meeting which opens September 5.
