Mister Jive Skips Preakness PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 8.— John L. Appelbaum, owner of Mister Jive, who was beaten over eight lengths In the Kentucky Derby, said this morning that the colt came out of the race very poorly and will not be able to start in the 00,000 Preakness next week. Mister Jive, who finished seventh in the nine-horse field, shipped unsatisfactorily to Garden State Park and has not been out of his stall since arriving there, according to telephone advice from Appelbaum.
