RELET got through on the first turn and caught FULLOPEP after going a half mile, then held on well when challenged. MONTEVIDEO made up some ground. FULLOPEP tired in the stretch. BETISE and KATIE GEE were fairly well up in the early running. RE RE PO was close up from the start and, coming around the early leaders on the stretch turn, took a short lead about fifty yards out and heid RED PERFUME. The latter closed ground on the outside in the stretch and was gaining. WITCH ENGLISH set most of the pace and raced DONT MOVE into defeat, then weakened in the last sixteenth. NIZAMI LADY loomed up when she saved ground on the stretch turn but faceted in the final drive. REGIS was not a threat. DONT MOVE tired. Scratched— 13856" Argufy. 112. FIBRE KING was steered to the inside after going a short distance and, taking a good lead on the backstretch, withstood a challenge from STOUT BUILT on the stretch turn and held him to the end. STOUT BUILT moved strongly on the outside after leaving the backstretch, then lost ground on the last turn. AUCTIONEER was going well at the finish. RO-ADD was fairly prominent for a half mile. WEDDING MARCH was unable to find an opening while racing on the inside. CAPITOL ACE found the distance too much. SHERBET raced wide and was not dangerous. Overweight— Jacolady, 3 pounds; Sherbet, 2. EASY TRAFFIC came to the outside of LITTLE RAVEN on the stretch turn to take command and hustled along through the last furlong was not in danger from BILLAGAIN. The latter was unable to keep up with the pace but saved ground in the stretch to finish well. LITTLE RAVEN opened up a good lead rounding the first turn but had little left at the end. CRACK DOWN was not hurried while being rather badly outrun in the first six furlongs, then improved his position gradually when called upon and, getting to the front in the last furlong, won with a fair degree of ease.
